Hermannsburg School

OUR GERMAN SUPPORT AND HERITAGE

On Monday, 19 April, Mrs Antje Vanselow, Cultural Attaché of the German Embassy in Pretoria, and Dr Winfried Spanaus, co-ordinator for the German language diploma (Deutsches Sprachdiplom or DSD) in Southern Africa, visited Hermannsburg. During their visit, the continued co-operation and support from Germany that our school enjoys were discussed and affirmed. Our High School German scholars received USB flash drives, in the form of colourful bracelets, as a gift from Dr Winfried Spanaus. We thank both Dr Spanaus and Mrs Vanselow especially for their steady support of our school, which is a member of the German Partner Schools initiative (PaSch).

Hermannsburg’s Mr Trevor Harbottle (Principal), Mrs Antje Vanselow (Cultural Attaché), Dr Winfried Spanaus (DSD-co-ordinator), Mr Zola Mkumla (Board of Directors) and Mr Patrick Peifer (seconded German teacher at Hermsnnsburg) during a recent visit and discussions.
