Isn’t it loads of fun to go to school in Pyjamas? Spending the day in one’s pyjamas is a weekend-only occurrence for most people, but on Thursday, 12 August our Little Oaks had a fun day coming to school in their pyjamas and enjoyed various activities. Even the teachers joined in! One of the Little Oaks’ activities was to bring their favourite toys to the Kindergarten, where we had a ‘show-and-tell’ session.
Having a ‘Pyjama Day’ at school, especially during this pandemic, helps our scholars to feel at home in our Kindergarten, one of our main goals and strengths at Hermannsburg. Especially during these difficult times, we as teachers have to look for and create opportunities for our scholars to feel special and loved.
Hermannsburg’s Little Oaks Lisakhanya Mngoma, Casey Goldstone, Nkanyezi Jobe, Zanengcebo Ngobese, Makha Mpungose and Zukhanye Ntshangase, all from the Grade R class, enjoyed ‘pyjama day’ with their favourite toys.
